As Rotary International Zone 28 & 32 Director, Chris Etienne has represented more than 50,000 Rotarians across hundreds of clubs with grace, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to Rotary's mission. As her term comes to a close, Rotarians throughout our district join thousands across our zones in expressing our deepest gratitude for her extraordinary leadership and lasting impact.

Chris has been far more than a representative of Rotary International—she has been an inspiration. Throughout her tenure, she challenged us to think bigger, dream bolder, and focus on creating meaningful, sustainable impact in our communities and around the world. Whether speaking to a room of new club leaders or engaging with experienced Rotary leaders, Chris consistently reminded us that Rotary's greatest strength lies in its people and our collective ability to serve.

Her leadership has been defined by authenticity, kindness, and a genuine desire to help clubs thrive. She has championed membership growth, strengthened Rotary's public image, encouraged innovation, and inspired leaders to embrace change while remaining grounded in Rotary's enduring values of Service Above Self.

For District 6290, Chris has been both a trusted advisor and a cherished friend. Her visits to our district, her encouragement of our leaders, and her willingness to share her experience have left a lasting impression on countless Rotarians. She has celebrated our successes, encouraged us through challenges, and continually reminded us of the incredible potential that exists within every Rotary club, including her own club, the Rotary Club of Petoskey.

Perhaps Chris's greatest gift has been her ability to connect with people. She leads with humility, listens with intention, and inspires others simply by being herself. Her warmth, optimism, and passion for Rotary have motivated countless members to step into leadership and discover new ways to make a difference.

While her term as Rotary International Director may be ending, the influence of her leadership will continue to be felt for years to come. The relationships she has built, the leaders she has mentored, and the vision she has helped shape will continue to strengthen Rotary well into the future.
