 The Life Leadership Conference was definitely a great experience. I learned a lot about what it takes to be a good leader. It was amazing to hear different points of view on life from different speakers. I learned many great tools to help me lead better, and I learned more about the type of leader I am. The conference was very well organized, and the people there were amazing. Everyone was so kind and accepting, including the staff.

 

I was especially moved by Molly Kennedy’s speech about “flipping your 20”. I had already seen her talk at my school, so when I heard she would be speaking again I thought I would be bored. I was actually more captivated by her speech hearing it a second time. The way she could connect with everyone in the room was amazing. I looked around the room and saw everyone paying attention; everyone was really taking in what she was saying. She definitely had a way of making people change their mindset, which helped us become better leaders.

 

I learned so many skills at LLC. I learned that a good leader has persistence and needs to understand strengths and weaknesses. I learned how important teamwork and taking chances are. I can use these skills to help me form a stronger Interact club at my school. I will also do whatever I can to help make our community better.

 

 Although the conference was impressive, there is one thing that could be better. Listening to the speakers was incredible, but I caught myself getting restless a few times. I would suggest doing a few more activities that required you to be more active. It was very hard to sit and stay focused for hours on end. Overall, the conference was great!
