Council on Legislation – Program Opportunity for Your Club
Every three years, Rotarians meet at the Council on Legislation to review and vote on proposed changes to the legislation that governs Rotary. They consider enactments, which change Rotary’s governing documents, and position statements by the Rotary International Board of Directors. Each Rotary district selects a past district governor as a representative for a three-year term. I am honored to serve District 6290 at the 2019 Council on Legislation.
The 2019 COL will meet in April to vote on the proposed enactments. These include proposals that effect our avenues of services, meetings and attendance, club administration, membership and committees.
In an effort to fully represent the Rotarians in District 6290 regarding the proposed legislation, I am available to attend club meetings and present a program on the Council on Legislation including discussion on the proposed enactments. If you would like me to visit your club, please contact me at 231-838-2031 or cetienne@bayharbor.com.
