Good things happen when Rotarians come together! Since September, District Governor Julie Schumaker and CAO Kathy Hegedus have been visiting with Rotarians across the district at regional Multi-Club Mixers. These events have been filled with Rotary camaraderie as Rotarians enjoy food and drinks in informal setting, build new friendships and connections with nearby clubs, and share ideas. From wineries and breweries to an outdoor pavilion and college campus, each setting has been unique. But all of the mixers have shared that spirit of Rotary as we build goodwill and better friendships across the district.
These gatherings are an opportunity to:
  • Meet and engage with District Governor Julie Schumaker in your local area.
  • Join fellow Rotarians, enjoy meaningful fellowship, and build camaraderie.
  • Build connections with Rotarians from neighboring clubs.
  • Share service and fundraising ideas between clubs.

Multi-Club Mixers have been held or are scheduled in Roscommon (Sept 30), Sault Ste Marie ON (Oct 1), Arcadia (Oct 8), Alanson (Oct 14), Cadillac (Oct 15), Hart (Oct 20), Greenville (Oct 21), Ottawa County (Nov 4), Traverse City (Nov 5) and Mancelona (Nov 10).

Invite the District Governor to a Club Event
While the Multi-Club Mixers are replacing the traditional District Governor club visit, DG Julie would love to attend your club’s fundraiser, service project or special event. Whether it is to build a playground, plant a garden, attend a fundraiser, speak to students, or participate in a special event, DG Julie would be happy to attend. To schedule a DG visit for an event, complete the request form on the district website under the Resources tab, then click “Club Presidents Tools for Success.”
